My question: What tanks, by Type and Tier are ""Keepers""

Basically, which tanks should we be keeping and skilling up the crew of for future tank clan battles.
As members are progressing through tank lines, certain tanks are going to be useful beyond just stepping stones. This is not intended as a tank guide or comprehensive list of all tanks in the game, but a quick list to know what tanks would be preferred for Clan battles.

I'm assuming the tank Admin can edit these posts to add information, so please do so.

(1) SPG [self propelled guns, aka Arty]

(2) TD [tank destroyer]
Tier 6 - Hellcat
Tier 8 - SU-152
Tier 8 - Jagdtiger 8.8
Tier 8 - T28 /T28Prot

(3) Heavy
Tier 6 - KV-1S
Tier 6 - KV-2
Tier 8 - IS-3
Tier 8 - T-32

(4) Medium
VK's
Tier 8 - T-34-2
Tier 8 - Type 59
Tier 8 - T-44
Tier 8 - T69

(5) Light
Tier 8 - AMX 13 90
T-50

------

Regarding crew skills(this is the order I usually do them):
All members:
Repair is good in any tank.
Camouflage in lights and Artillery
Firefighting
Brothers in Arms is good but I normally don't do it until 2nd or 3rd skill

Commander:
Sixth sense is a huge asset in ANY tank
Recon is a good one as well, extending view range is always a good thing
Mentor speeds things up as well---------NO, NEVER! Blind1

Gunner:
Snapshot
Armorer (I like this one as it sure helps if you don't have a repair kit left and your gun is hit)
Deadeye

Driver:
Off road driving (it's nice to NOT slow to a crawl in different terrains)
Controlled Impact (love watching tanks blow up as they try to ram me and I'm moving)
Smooth ride

Loader:
Adrenaline Rush (after common skills like repair or firefighting)

Radio Operator:
Situational awareness (again, extended view range rocks)
Common skills
Signal boosting
Signal Relaying

please reply with tanks that should be added. I will be pestering the SoC tank leadership for what tanks should be added on this list as well.
Thanks

thanks for you post.

This is a great start

My goal is to have a keeper tank in each nationality, (at least German, Russian, US, Brittan)

Skills, please go read the thread on them that is pinned to the top of this forum, and never train mentor unless you are willing to spend gold on re-spec'ing out of it.

Tanks: Not very familiar with british and chinese tanks, so I will be ignoring their existence. Tier six is mostly 1s's, kv-2s, hellcats, chaffees, backed up with jacksons, various meds, and arty.

Tier 8: IS-3, t-32, t-69, amx-50-100, 13-90, tiger II, arty, and tds in some cases.

Tier 10: most heavies and mediums can be useful except IS-7, IS-4, and maus (except as a roadblock), tds are map dependent.

Do clan wars usually go any lower than tier 6 for anything other than lights?

Clan Wars can currently be a max of Tier 8 in all of Campaign 2, and Arctic Circle on the Global Map. North America on the Global map is Tier 10.

That is just the max Tier you can bring, but since most of the other clans will be running nearly all of the max tier (save for a possible light scout) we would highly suggest bringing one of the suggested Tier 8 Tanks to our Clan Wars Battles.
