Server Information

This thread is for TF2 server comments and requests for our main server. It also lists current mod's and plugins active on the server.

Updated: 4-29-10

Guidelines:
  • Custom map requests will be ignored; fast download does not work on our servers
  • Arena map requests will be ignored.

I know a lot of people love ctf_turbine but I have noticed that sometimes we lose over half the server population when we get to ctf_turbine.

Count me as one of those to 'check out' when turbine comes up. I would guess that it's fun in a competitive setting but the high numbers of snipers and spies on most pubs makes it more aggravating than fun in my experience.

Replaced well with it, and fixed the mapcycle, why must updates overwrite that file.

I think if we added a ranking system to our server we would get a lot more people to regularly stop by. I know that I really enjoy playing in public servers with rankings because it is a fun competitive way to impress upon others your skill or the amount of time you spend in the server.

If we implemented rankings to our server I think we would have a lot more "regulars" that stop by and increase the amount of time our server has players in it.

Thoughts?

I'm fairly sure the best ranking system (HlxStats) costs money to use. Not sure though. Tech?

Back when i was setting things up initially the only workable ranking system was HLStatsX, and it did indeed cost money. I'll look around again though for a free plugin, one may have been made recently that could work.

id love to see atleast one ctf map in the whole thing with a time limit. (like 5-10 minutes then move on to next map, or 3 captures.) turbine is the best one either that or the rarely used sawmill ctf.

also vote kick. for when no admins are on, and there is annoying person. you just vote kick him, when you get more player base this is a very nice feuture. no vote ban that should be for admins only.

then if there isnt in here already a teamscramble feuture this is a must for when teams become unbalanced. not a admins only teamscramble but vote teamscramble like system, you could have one for admins to.

Pretty sure votekick is a no-go. It would likely get abused by trolls that would hop in D: I'm pretty sure we have a teamscramble feature in there, and the reason we have no CTF maps is because they kill the server when they come up.
